About guest chef Mr. Ian Chan
After starting his cooking career aged 16, Ian’s hard work, talent and creativity saw him promoted to sous chef in less than 10 years. At the age of 28, he was promoted to executive chef, managing the operations and output of the kitchen.
He worked in a wide range of restaurants, including a dai pai dong, a tea house, a Chinese restaurant in 5-star hotel, the restaurant in South China Athletic Association’s clubhouse, and Ah Yat Harbour View Restaurant as a dim sum chef. He founded Old Dim Dim Sum Restaurant, winning recognition from Openrice and Dianping in 2016 and 17.
